This is Umiku (Manaphy747), remaking the guide!
This going to give me alot of headache if i think of this guide too fast.
Anyway, been a long time since i played nostale (ex-nostale player), i sometimes thought maybe i should join back to nostale, but i would think about it deeply....

I had sorrow thoughts of nostale while playing, no movitation of playing whatsoever due to several people i met and of course i won't flame them. If you want to know, it would be better to not to know about it.

Back to where I am, i rewrite and remake this guide not once but twice, v1, v2 (i didn't show v2 to anyone). Later on, i stop making the guide when i announced that i'll quit nostale.

After few months later, when i looked at my memory stick, i notice that i still have the guide for nostale that i didn't finished or post it up on site, i thought maybe i should remake it once more, but spread my worktime on it.
Please note, that this guide is only up to Level 18 to Level 65. Up to Act 1 to Act 2.

This may be my best guide i will create this year... maybe.

Please read the Note section before going to the Leveling section or other section.

Where's V1?
Unfornately, i asked a modator in nostale uk forum to remove it as i gave up and was disappoint and other sorrow things that happen before, sorry to people who used this guide alot and made it useful for them!

Yes, the V1 was on the forum!

v2.0:

[Date: Unknown]

v3.0:

[NOTE]

This is a special section that i have created and used, hopefully many people will understand once they read it more than twice. Also, it's important if you memorize this section before moving to Leveling Guide and Main Quest section.

Please note that this guide is for any other version of nostale, however, this is english,
i'll ask other people to translate the guide for other nostale language community if possible. (If used for own guide without permission, will be in trouble)

*Note 0:*
This is combat leveling guide, it will cover combat leveling place section and how to defeat insane TimeSpace level stone. (Only Storyline TimeSpace Level Stone and grinding map)

*Note 1:*
This guide is mostly for sole, if you and your friend doing as party then you can take nearly everywhere with less troublesome at upper-coming problems, please do not send me a email where to grind with a party, because you can grind almost everwhere near to your level.

*Note 2:*
Hero Mission TimeSpace Level Stone are 2x STRONGER than original stones, so be prepare!

*Note 3:*
The following keywords will indicates how dangerous the level stones are
(be always prepare!)

[L-Danger] -
This indicates it's a below danger zone, it can be hard for beginners.

[Danger] -
This indicates a average danger zone, requires some snacks and few potions, however, it is efficient training that zone for your combat level.

[Danger2] -
This indicates a average danger zone as well, but can be even more dangerous, if you have encounter a unexpected event. Require some snacks and few potions or more.

[M-Danger] -

This indicates above average danger zone, more dangerous than [Danger], will require more snacks and potions than [Danger]

[U-Danger] -
This indicates a high level danger zone, more harder than [Danger]. Require several or dozen potions and snacks.

[E-Danger] -
This indicates Very High level danger zone, almost impossible, however there are important, useful information and tactics, that can turns things around. Require Alot of potions and Snacks.(Can be more than a stack [99 of item] )

*Note 4:*
During TimeSpace level Stone's mission, you may come across with monsters respawn or survival time limit. The Time will shows as "00:XX.59", "XX" indicates what seconds group of monsters and more groups of monsters will respawn, however not all mission do follow this pattern! Be Caution!

*Note 5:*
There are few monsters do seriously damage any players if they are not prepare, this monsters will known as "FSDM" (also know as Fixed Skill Level Damage Monsters).
This can do certain damage towards your hp or mp, regardless towards your armour and what level you are, it effects by the monster' current level and how powerful the skill is.

*Note 6:*
In this guide, there will be a abbreviate of "TimeSpace Stone", this will be shorten down to "Ts" / "ts" as single.
For plural, "Tses" / "tses".
Used in Advice section for each TimeSpace Stone that are completed on Level guide.

*Note 7:*
On advice, if it says about require, this is estimate of how many you may need for doing a TimeSpace Stone, however, if you have extra snacks and potions, save them for later on or conserve well.
Not all are good estimate, but, well over above-average, just to make sure people survive well including beginners.

*Note 8:*
Extension section - it's about if possible if the player can defeat the monsters from it's current combat lv, however if it is possible, it will require good focus, strategy and conserve of it's snacks, foods and potions. (Extreme hard)

*Note 9:*
In this leveling guide section, it won't spend out other places that are possible to grind at, there are few reasons why is this:

First:

There are higher chances you may die more often than doing TimeSpace Stone.

Second:

It will require more time to finish mobs or enemies at once.

Third:

It will require snacks and potions to be able to survive during hunting down enemies.

Fourth:

Very challenging.

In Level guide section tries to reduce the risk of players who have many losses to the game.
Beginners, need to be sure not to be overconfident once they have gain to read this guide or other guides they have found out.
There are chances of having great loss of gold, important items they will need in the future gameplay. It's extremely recommended for beginners to hunt for nesscary items and sale to NPCs or to players, such as Wools, Vampires etc.

[LEVEL]

Please use Ctrl + F, to find what section you are currently using at.

There won't be a instruction in this guide for Level 1 - 17 as it is very straight-forward.

Before you can do TimeSpace Level 18 Stone, make sure you have completed all previous TimeSpace level stones before moving to your first hero mission TimeSpace level Stone.

Can be checked to see if you have completed all previous TimeSpace level Stone:

1 - Check on your mini-map (top right screen), you will see a circle of where TimeSpace Stone are:

Green Circle - Complete
Blue Circle - Not complete

2 - Press "O" from your keyboard to go to Objective screen, look at the top right of that window and you will see crystals, Shine crystals shows Tses have completed, while dark/not shine crystal shows have not complete. (In Nostale Uk version, you can press "U" as well, this will also go to objective screen)

The protect priority must be Bob over the captian, Bob have less defence than the captain does.

Keep the distance of Bob away the main battlefield or else, the enemy will start attacking bob.

TimeSpace Stone Level 29 [M-Danger]

Doing:

[TS29]
TimeSpace Stone Level 29:
[M-Danger]
*Hint: This Ts is straightforward, however, defeat monsters will not be easy, it is highly recommended to do with a party, but it is possible to sole.

This is a hasty mission, you cannot rest in this mission or else you will not have time to reach to the exit, this mean once the monster respawn time limit is up, you MUST reach to the next room, there are no time bonus (untill you have reach the end of second last room and the monster respawn time is over)

You must do AoE and run to be able to survive longer and it is the best choice to do so, you will lose more hp than using hp pots if you tend to kill one by one without moving.

It is not wise to sit near to the portal and hope time limit is up, there are high chances of you'll be attacked by few or several monsters, what's more is you may lose a good chance to get good exp.

Require dozen of pots and several snacks.

Recommended to kill Hamsters first, due to their mid range attack.

TimeSpaceStone Level 31:
[L-Danger]
*Hint: This requires patince, strategy and haste.

This Ts is straightforward, however, you have no bonus time limit and you start at low time, you will need to pull levers to advance further to next room.

This is highly recommended to use antler hat or donkey hat to prevent mandras' screams

Try to use your pet and nosmate to distract the monsters while you are pulling the lever, you can do this alone without party or even without your pet and nosmate, this will require to hunt monsters down taht have attract your attention or near to the lever.

Require few potions and snacks, if needed.

You will need to be lv 34+, to be able to recruit Tom.

[TS33]
TimeSpace Stone Level 33 [Hero Mission]:
[M-Danger]
*Hint: This Ts can be hard, if not sure what's going to happen next room.

You have alot of time to rest, so rest up!

It is highly recommended to do in a party. There is a survival room, it's recommended to hunt those koarens down as much as you can, those guards won't able to protect you too long, beware of Elite Koaren-Axeman, he's lv 38, he can do seriously damage to you, so try to survive well!

Monster respawn tiem limit in 29 seconds (only once).

Once, it's over and headed two rooms, you have a new group of party to help you to reach you goal (reach to the exit), you will need to protect Captain as well (NPC, must be protected), make sure you hunt down all the koarens while minimize the damage your party have taken (this applies to all members in the group), they all don't have regain hp / mp like the ones with glowing white circle around specific NPC.

You will reach to a cave / dungeon show on the map with

https://2img.net/h/i311.photobucket.com/albums/kk470/Manaphy747/Tslv33map.jpg

*** - You have two choice to pick to use which path you would need to use to be able to get to the exit, the shortcut is extremely damgerous for first try even for experince players (many Koaren-Knight will respawn at once!)
Recommended to choose the long path, if you dare, try the shortcut...

*Hint: This Ts is quite hasty, but don't go too hasty though.

Once you have finished the first room, you have certain time left, it would be extremely wise not to go after the time limit gone to 3minutes & 20 seconds.
You do have another time to reach to last time, before you do, you can hunt some Kenkos does for fun ( this may be useful for certain main quest, which you will recieve after you have completed ts level 40 ).

There is a reason why you need to go to the last room before that time you have given, the last room is a 3 minutes survival.
If you have under 3 minutes left before reaching the the last room (survival), there's no doubt, that you will fail the ts, so make sure it's before 3 minutes and 20 seconds or more.

The last room can be use for doing the main quest you have given after TimeSpace Stone Level 40.

Kenkos do serious bad effect, serious bleed, everyone hates them, but everyone love using them, if you have a cat ear you in luck! For people doesn't, you will get one (it's not cat ear but a headband) after completing ts level 40.

Monster respawn time limit will be 59 and 29 secs in first room and last room.

Require few potions and snacks, but mainly snacks needed.

TimeSpace Stone Level 37:
[M-Danger]
*Hint: Yes, this Ts gets alot of beginners furious and upset having them taking several huge damages on them at the last room.

All rooms are easy, but the last room is different story.First, make sure you still have antler hat or donkey hat with you, have some light resistance in use, 10% light resistance will be enough.
It's strongly recommended to do with first class base sp, make sure your fairy % is over 20, this will do one-hit-ko to all monsters if have latest weapon equipped.
There will be alot of Strong Herbi-Mandras respawning. Monster respawn time limit will be 59 and 29 seconds.

At first room, leeches will be respawn at 1:59.00 and 0:59.00.(only twice)

At Last room, leeches will be respawn at 0:59.00 (only once)

Require dozen of snacks and many potions.

Monster order : HellHounds > Steel Hamsters > Imps > Devil-Vampire >Morning Star Boing > Pink Jellies.
Those are the orders for Archer and Swordman.

The sequence of Mage is different from Archer and Swordman:

[TS47-E]

Please note that, the high lv demon is in fact a lv 65 demon, it will waste your time killing this insane high lv demon.

Require 30+ snacks & dozen of potions.
Strongly recommended to be in a party, you will need to protect Kliff (lv 50), while finding Kenel and also looking for the lever to open the exit. You may need several Luinia Of Restore.

*Hint: This Ts is straightforward, however, the monsters are not easy, there are 2 monsters you will need to worry about.

Lanetans (lv55) [FSDM] & Dryads Servants (lv 60)

Lanetans will do fixed % damaged to your current hp if been destroyed, it is wise not to AoE near or attack to Lanetans!

If you encounter a survival room with Lanetans, make sure you are near to the entrance and wait there! If Lanetans comes and notice you, wait for them to come, kill them and rest, be careful with them, it is not a easy survival room.

At the end of the room, you will encounter Dryads, it is recommended to have decent water resistance with you, they will do serious damage towards your hp, what's even more worse, they have high hp.
Take your time to defeat Dryads.

Require water resistance at least 50%+, 80+ snacks and 28 potions.
Strongly recommended to do with a party.

TimeSpace Stone Level 64 (Labrinth Of Pain) :
[M-Danger]
*Hint: This Ts is straightforward, however, there are few suggestions you will need to know and also be well-prepare of.

Once you have started the mission, you will need to pick a key, this is very risky, if you picked the "wrong" key you will face against 10 - 12 Ancient Dustdeaths at once, however there is a side-back to this surprise attack, you will recieve 59 minutes to finish this ts, this is well good enough for you to complete the mission, other 2 are wrong keys that will decrease the time limit, if this happens there's no chance to win this ts.

Other Key would allow you go through the first room for free, but you won't have enough time to complete the Ts (won't recieve time bonus).

The only way to win this ts is get the key that give out 59 minutes towards the time limit, as you will be facing ancient dustdeath.

Require: Have decent fire resistance over 60%, have decent dark resistance over 60%, dozen of potions, 50 snacks.

You will need fire resistance against Dustdeath, dustdeath uses fire spells against you.

After, you will need to pull 8 buttons to be able to go next room, you will need to protect 2 NPCs.

In the next room, you will face a Spider King, do not use NPCs against Spider King, there's a strong chance of losing one NPCs if they are fighting against him.

The next few rooms will be easy, afterwards, you have complete the Ts.

*Advice: In this Ts, you will face another Boss, Dark element Boss, make sure you have the highest dark resistance you can get.

There are only 3 rooms in this ts, the last room is where you fight against the boss, there are also 2 NPCs, do not worry about them, even they have died, you can still do the mission!
There are Herbi-mandras in this ts, however you can ignore all the monsters and just focus on the boss.

Your mission is to defeat the boss in certain time limit!

Require: Have 20+ snacks, 40+ potions, try to get dark resistance over 90%.

This section is about how to complete specific quests, such as Spiral Maze, underworld devils etc.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

[UD-MQ]
Main quest: Hunting Underworld Devils.

Lv25+

[M-Danger]
*Hint: This quest is hard for beginners if not sure what to do.

It is highly recommended to find 1 or 2 people to help you out.

However, if 1 or 2 people doesn't have the main quest of what you have, you will have slight or huge disadvantage, they will need to weaken them for you, leaving you to destroy those devils.
Leaving them to kill those devils for you, will not going to effect your main quest kill counts.

Few tips:

* Get Dark resistance more than 10% or near to 10% (recommended to have 9% or more)

* Have at least around 30 (small) potions and 10 medium potions.

* Have alot of snacks (at least 50)

* Try to do "Hit and run" style (recommended to do so, swordie can't survive too long, no more than 12 secs)

[SM-MQ]
Main Quest: Spiral Maze

Lv50+

[U-Danger]
This main quest is one of the most annoying and frustrating quest, you will ever across with.
There are 4 ambers of elements:
Amber Of Light
Amber Of Dark
Amber Of Water
Amber Of Fire

It is recommended to have all element resistance over 55%, wear the right element fairy, using the correct element sp card if possible, just to be safe and make things easy. Or have a party to help you, however, don't let your guard down, just because you are in a party, that you are very sure you will be safe (not entirely true).

During this quest, you cannot buy Amber of Elements from Malcolm, it won't help you to complete a quest of getting Amber of "XXXX".

Please note that, there will be repetition of walkthrough with Spiral Maze.

Souls monsters and "creature" monsters from Fernon Temple 2F - 9F and Spiral Mazes, have weakness if you look at their monster information.

Reminder that Souls and the "creatures" have very similar attacks with each other so be extremely careful.

First Spiral Maze - Spiral Maze E

You will need to have Amber Of Light, however you will need to get it by killing Spoilt Tree Soul, before going to Fernon Temple 2F - 3F, make sure you are wearing the following equipments:
Water Fairy
Light resistance
Water Sp Card ( Blade / Blue Mage / Ranger )

After getting the amber, head to Sprial Maze E, use the Amber Of Light, before you do, make sure you are still using the same equips like before...

You have teleport to "Light Giant Punkies" Nest, either fight against them while walking to Ts lv 50, or just run to Ts lv 50, however, while you are running you will need to use potions and snacks to reach to your goal (Ts lv 50).

Second Spiral Maze - Spiral Maze W

You will need to have Amber Of Dark, just like the first time, you will need to get it by killing Polluted Tree Soul, before going to Fernon Temple 4F - 5F, make sure you are wearing the following equipements:
Fire Fairy
Dark Resistance
Fire Sp Card ( Warrior / Red Mage / Destroyer )

After getting the second amber, head to Spiral Maze W, guess what...

"Dark Giant Scorpio" Nest, like before, either fight agaisnt them and walk or just run cowardly, till you have arrive to Ts lv 51.

Third Spiral Maze - Spiral Maze S

You will need to have Amber Of Water, just like the previous two, you will need to get it by killing Sad Tree Soul, before going to Fernon Temple 6F - 7F, make sure you are wearing the following equipments:
Dark Fairy
Water Resistance
Dark Sp Card ( Beserker / Dark Gunner / Assassin )

After getting the third amber, head to Spiral Maze S, guess again...

Main Quest: Hunting Grub-Crickets

Lv57+

[E-Danger]
This main quest is annoying just like doing Spiral Maze quest, but more harder, you will be killing alot of Grub-Crickets.
Grub-Crickets can give you this annoying effects taht everyone hates of but love using it, 10% chance of causing "Expose Weakness" that allows them to critical hit you all the time, furthermore, they can have your defence applied on chance of 20% occur while fighting Grub-Crickets.

Please note that you will be having those tensive effects while fighting against those Grub-Crickets, due by having more than 3 Grub-Crickets ganking on you.

It is Strongly recommended to do with a party, have water fairy and water sp card equip, they are weak to water (they are non-element, but they do have poor water resistance [-10%] )

Even though you are in a party, you must be careful, it's more dangerous than doing Spiral Maze quest.

Hunt:
Grub-Crickets x 20
Grub-Crickets x 30
Grub-Crickets x 40
Grub-Crickets x 50

This quest may be long, but it can be done, even sole, however, if you are doing alone, you will need a friend's miniland to rest, before carry on killing those annoying crickets.
Same as going to portal and rest outside of the zone, be extremely careful when doing it alone, you may die more than you have expected.

Main Quest: Fangs Of Beasts

Lv58+

[E-Danger]
For this quest, have decent light resistance over 70% and hippo / monkey hat wear on.

Beasts are annoying monsters not to mention the other souls, if they 'gank' on you alone, you're likely to die if you are not careful, either wear dark or water sp card to fight against them.

Try not to mob them, you may get stum by beasts, also wipe out archers before they constantly attacking you while trying to give you expose weakness.

Beasts Teeth may take some time to collect, it will be a good idea to have a party to help you out.

[TIP]

This section tell you some useful tips, you may not have come across with or haven't notice yet. Veteran players may know them all. ( but it is a good idea to refresh memory. )

Shortcut Keys:

X - Pick up / Operate Buttons or Levers
C - Rest
Z - Secondary Weapon Attack

*For Nosmate / pets / Protagonist:*

(Protagonist is your character)

F1 = Protagonist
F2 = Nosmate or Pet (be Pet if Nosmate is not in a party)
F3 = Pet (if Nosmate in a party)
F4 = Select Nosmate & pet (From party)

F5 = All Available NPCs

Ctrl + LMB (while dragging) = select available Nosmate / Pet

(A) - Attack all enemies while travelling to their destination, after arrive to destination, changed to "Standby" (to "S" icon), however they can counter-attack enemies if they attack.

(S) - Stay on it's position, if nostmate / pet have under 10% hp left, they will automatically withdraw from the fight, stays near by the Protagonist.

(D) - Nosmate & Pet do activites with Protagonist, if Nosmate / Pet is below 10%, it will stop doing activities exclude for wandering around with Protagonist like a headless chicken.

(F) - Nosmate & Pet move to destination by force, after arrive to destination, change to "Standby" (to "S" icon), however just like (A) action, it will start counter-attack if been attacked, if below 10% hp, stop all activitives.

Try to conserve your snacks and potions as much as possible.
if you just spam snacks without knowing how many snacks do you really need, you have wasted few snacks more than using them all.

E.g Eating constantly of 5 fried chickens (2.5k hp & mp refill), while having just 1.8k hp need to recover and 2k mp need to recover is not a wise idea.

Make sure you know how much exact amount you will need to use.

Everyone must know about elements.
